Simple and natural maternity session in studio

Maternity Session Guide

When to schedule

The ideal time for a maternity session is between 28-34 weeks, so to book your session when you reach 2nd trimester. This is when your bump is beautifully defined, and you're still comfortable enough to move around for different poses.

If you're expecting multiples, consider scheduling earlier, around 26-30 weeks, as your bump will develop earlier.

Preparing for your session

What to wear: I do have a selection of dresses in my Client Wardrobe that you're welcome to use. However, if you decide on your outfit, please focus on comfort and elegance. Choose outfits that highlight your bump such as:

Flowing dresses

Fitted dress/ gowns

Lingerie or wraps (for intimate sessions)

Neutral and solid colours: Soft solid tones like pastels, creams or earth tones photograph beautifully. Avoid big patterns and logos.

Bring options: Feel free to bring 2-3 outfit choices to add variety to your gallery.

For partners/ siblings: Coordinate outfits with similar tones for a cohesive look. Avoid clashing colours or overly bold prints.

What to bring

Accessories, like a hat, scarf, jewellery.

Baby ultrasound photo or small item (e.g baby shoes or stuffed toy) for a personal touch

Water and snacks
